Ce topos, bien que rationalis\u00e9 d\u2019un point de vue typiquement grec, illustre encore la croyance s\u00e9culaire du Proche-Orient dans l\u2019effectivit\u00e9 de la conduite divine des affaires du monde. Mais les Grecs, quoique loin d\u2019inventer l\u2019histoire du b\u00fbcher de Cr\u00e9sus, l\u2019ont combin\u00e9e avec des sources lydiennes d\u00e9crivant les rituels d\u2019enterrement des rois lydiens. Les Lydiens eux-m\u00eames, cependant, devaient leurs coutumes fun\u00e9raires royales, qui impliquaient l\u2019apoth\u00e9ose du roi, \u00e0 leurs cousins culturels, les Hittites. L\u2019\u00ab\u00a0histoire\u00a0\u00bb de Cr\u00e9sus qui en r\u00e9sulte est un m\u00e9lange d\u2019influences culturelles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Croesus\u2019 pyre illustrates a standing motif in Ancient Near Eastern history: the self-immolation, by fire, of a defeated king. This topos, though rationalized from a characteristically Greek point of view, still illustrates the age-old Near Eastern belief in the working of divine direction in the world. But the Greeks, although far from inventing the story of Croesus\u2019 pyre, combined it with Lydian sources describing the burial rituals of the Lydian kings. The Lydians themselves, however, owed their royal burial customs, which involved the apotheosis of the king, to their cultural cousins, the Hittites. Dans la premi\u00e8re section, il fournit un r\u00e9sum\u00e9 de la recherche r\u00e9cente sur l\u2019anthropologie m\u00e9dicale et montre comment elle peut \u00eatre adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude de la pens\u00e9e m\u00e9dicale grecque antique. Le discours cynique, en particulier, sur l\u2019alimentation et la sant\u00e9 entretient une relation complexe avec les approches hippocratiques sur ce sujet. Les caract\u00e9ristiques dominantes communes qui fa\u00e7onnent le discours sur l\u2019alimentation et la sant\u00e9 dans la di\u00e9t\u00e9tique hippocratique et la philosophie cynique sont donc explor\u00e9s et compar\u00e9s dans la section suivante de cet article. Enfin, la derni\u00e8re partie se concentre sur les diff\u00e9rences entre la pratique di\u00e9t\u00e9tique hippocratique et les discours cyniques sur la sant\u00e9, la nature et l\u2019alimentation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This paper focuses on the way ancient Cynicism could have addressed the subject of healthy living in a sociocultural milieu marked by the specialization and increasing recognition of medicine as an independent area of knowledge. In the first section, it provides a summary of the recent scholarship concerning medical anthropology and how it may be adapted to the study of ancient Greek medical thought. In particular, Cynic discourse on food and health has a complex relation to the Hippocratic approaches on this subject. The common dominant features that shape the discourse on food and health in Hippocratic dietetics and the Cynic philosophy are therefore explored and compared in the following section of this article. Cet article se propose de donner une description du codex, de reconstruire autant que possible l\u2019histoire de ses possesseurs et de r\u00e9\u00e9diter, de traduire et de commenter les fragments de lecture tr\u00e8s difficile du trait\u00e9 <em>Sur les mois<\/em>. Le Parisinus a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crit autour de l\u2019an 900 et, au xviiie si\u00e8cle, a fait partie de la biblioth\u00e8que de Nikolaos Mavrokordatos, puis d\u2019un autre Phanariote, Nikolaos Karatzas, pour finir entre les mains de Marie-Gabriel-Florent-Auguste de Choiseul-Gouffier et, ensuite, \u00e0 la Biblioth\u00e8que nationale. Les fragments proviennent des commentaires sur des jours des mois de novembre et de d\u00e9cembre du calendrier romain. Du point de vue d\u2019un ancien \u00e9l\u00e8ve de l\u2019\u00e9cole n\u00e9oplatonicienne du vie si\u00e8cle, Jean interpr\u00e8te les dieux pa\u00efens v\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s anciennement pendant ces jours-l\u00e0, les f\u00eates li\u00e9es \u00e0 ceux-ci et les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes astronomiques et m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques en citant un grand nombre d\u2019auteurs antiques tant\u00f4t c\u00e9l\u00e8bres, tant\u00f4t obscurs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Parisinus suppl\u00e9ment grec 257 is the only manuscript once having contained the complete text of the three treatises <em>On the Months<\/em>, <em>On Celestial Signs<\/em> and <em>On the Magistracies<\/em> by John Lydus that has been preserved at least in parts until today. This article tries to describe the codex, to reconstruct the history of its possessors, as far as possible, and to reedit, to translate and to comment the fragments of <em>On the Months<\/em>, the lecture of which is very difficult. The Parisinus was written around 900 AD and was, in the eighteenth century, part of the library of Nikolaos Mavrokordatos, then of another Phanariote, Nikolaos Karatzas, finally ending up in the hands of Marie-Gabriel-Florent-Auguste de Choiseul-Gouffier and then in the Biblioth\u00e8que nationale. The fragments come from the commentary on some days in November and December in the Roman calendar. Taking the standpoint of a former pupil of the sixth century neoplatonic school, John interprets the pagan gods formerly venerated on those days, the feasts connected to them and the astronomical and In doing so, we demonstrate in which specific way (or in what terms) the generic progression, in harmony with the progression of political and Roman celebration, conditions or nuances auto-exaltation of the self in these passages by Virgil and Horace. Altra attenzione viene poi prestata all\u2019espressione <em>intemerata fides<\/em>: si propongono alcune nuove considerazioni in base a un confronto con il Codice Teodosiano e con gli Epigrammi di Damaso.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some passages by Ammianus in which the terms <em>verecundia<\/em> and <em>fides<\/em> are used for a historical and lexical analysis reveal some singular traits of the <em>Res Gestae<\/em> and these must, above all, be read whilst keeping in mind the innovations of the Christian lexicon and the different types of audience addressed by Ammianus.
